singer/songwriter is getting ready to showcase her musical talent
at Festival Place as part of the local venue’s Wednesday Patio
L J Daylee will be performing in
town on Wednesday, Aug. 7, in what will be her first local
appearance since performing on the Global Country Festival of Stars
at the Winspear Centre last June.
The singer’s profile has been on
the rise since releasing her second album, Vinyl 45, last spring.
Her duet with Canadian country music star Jamie Warren, entitled
What Do They Know, received extensive airplay on country music
radio stations across the nation last summer and earned her a
nomination for Best New Country Artist at the Canadian Radio Music
Awards during Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
Her current single
North of the Moon, penned by L J Daylee and Sherwood Park
native Rob Hewes, has
been well received by Canadian and European country radio this spring.
The singer’s next single, I Can Fly, will be part of a television
documentary called Pretty Ladies, Fast Horses, scheduled to be aired
locally on the Global television Network in late August.
recent shows, L J Daylee has performed in Calgary during the Calgary
Stampede and at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival in British
Columbia. Just prior to her upcoming appearance at Festival Place,
the singer will be appearing at the Camrose Big Valley Jamboree in
the songwriters’ guitar pull on Sunday, Aug. 4 as well as the
Ivan Daines Country Picnic in Innisfail.
The singer is planning to cap off
the year with a one-month tour in Germany and Switzerland.
Currently, North of the Moon has hit top five on major European
country music charts and has been on the charts for 15 weeks.
